The library is celebrating women artists this month with an exhibit of local talent. Participants have contributed works that speak to the experience of traveling, journeying, and growth. Artist Kathi Pratt represents the Trail of Tears, the westward journeys of pioneer women, and the Underground Railroad in an interactive display. Nancy Hamblen meditates on the journey of sea glass. Becca Paine and Priscilla Keene interpret places they have travelled. Jean Forbes compares two works to portray her journey as an artist. And Carey Donovan displays images and text from her family's years as missionaries in India.
Join us for a reception for these and other artists at the library on Thursday, March 19th from 4:40-6.
