The library has a slew of exciting Big Read events during January and February. Start by getting your free copy of Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer and a schedule of events at the library. On Tuesday, January 17th at 6:30pm we will discuss the novel. On Thursday, January 19th we host a reception for the artists whose work appears in our Fabulous Fences and Wise Words exhibit (on display for January and February). Join us between 4-6pm for refreshments, music, and appreciation of Tom Sawyer-inspired fences and a display of Twain's quotes. Next, we will lend our voices in a Tom Sawyer era sing-along with Ruth Grierson and friends on Wednesday, January 25 at 6:30pm. On Wednesday, February 1 at 6:30pm Wendell Seavey will discuss Twain's storytelling and share some of his own colorful tales. Finally, the library will show the "Mark Twain" film by Ken Burns on Friday, February 10 from 6:30-8:30pm.
