Ruth Moore Days 2012

Thursday July 19 7pm MDI READS MOORE!
Author Sanford Phippen will lead a discussion of The Walk Down Main Street. Copies of the book are available for purchase at the library for $10.

Sunday July 22 7pm  Historian William Baker will discuss the role of basketball in small town America and on the quiet side of MDI in particular as it is reflected in The Walk Down Main Street.

Tuesday July 24 7pm
Historian Judith Goldstein will discuss the history of anti-Semetism on MDI and shed light on Moore's portrayal of prejudice in The Walk Down Main Street.

Oil paintings by Ruth Moore and her partner, writer Eleanor MAyo, are on Display at the Bass Harbor Memorial Library during the month of July.
